The Castillo de San Marcos, as it's known today, claims the title of "oldest masonry fort" in the continental United States. The fort has changed hands many times in its centuries-old history; last used by the US Army, it was decommissioned in 1933, renamed a national monument, and turned over to the National Park Service.

Our archival print celebrates the transition of the fort to a national monument and showcases early efforts by the Department of the Interior to promote interest in the beautiful site. Like all G.I. Prints products, this design is carefully handcrafted in the USA to an extraordinarily high level of quality and detail, and is suitable for gallery display and professional framing.
